2013!  I’m so happy that I’m around for another year.  Hope everyone is having a great time this New Year as well!  I just wanted to check in quickly and let you know what’s going on.  Christmas was very scaled down as we were days away from closing on the new house.  I did get some great pics of the baby opening a few gifts – post later.  We actually closed on the house on Dec. 31.  What a great way to start the New Year in a new home.  I can’t wait to go through the decorating process on the blog.  I spent New Year’s Eve with family, shopping and sleeping as I slept through the actual celebration.  I usually watch the ball drop but I was asleep at about 9:30 p.m.  New mom, new normal.  Baby Dax is growing like a weed and he is such a delight and so super smart.  I know everyone thinks their baby is a genius and in my case, it is true.  He is amazing! 

I don’t have any resolutions to tell you about.  I understand that the New Year is symbolic and that’s great but I don’t do New Year’s Resolutions.  I feel like you can change your life on any given day at any given time. I do feel better about my life and who I am as a person when comparing my life to this time last year.  Growth is always good.  And yes, we’ve had a lot of monetary, material blessings but that’s just icing.  The cake is love, friends, family, confidence, creativity and a wonderful life.
