If you live in Texas (or a surrounding state that won’t take you 2 days to drive to it) and you are a fan of
HGTV’s Fixer Upper, then you take a Day Trip to
Magnolia Market aka The Silos. It’s just what you do. And that’s exactly what my friend Joy and I did do a couple of weekends ago. Late post but as you know, I’ve been a bit preoccupied. 😉
We arrived in Waco a bit after noon and contrary to popular advice, I say don’t go too early. It was still packed. By the time we left around 2, the crowds had really died down, although it was a tad hotter outside. Our plan was to hit up the food trucks for crepes, shop and then have another round at the food for some grilled cheese to go. The day was fun. My husband asked me what the point of the trip was and I told him, just to see the store and the silos and because, that’s why!
The pictures below will take you through our fun little day.

The Silos, obvi.

Best shot I could get of the storefront. It was hot and we were ready to get inside! |

Painting the sign for Magnolia Flour. |
|
I had the Strawberry & Banana Nutella. It was very good but a bit hard to cut into with a plastic fork. So yummy ,however. |
|
Of course I signed the guestbook. |
|
The back part of the store. |

I told Joanna’s mom she got to be a celebrity for the day when I asked her for a pic. She is petite. She also made sure that Magnolia bag was facing forward, alright! |
|
We had “The Boss” to go. Deliciousness featuring bacon, Gouda and basil. |
|
They were finishing up the sign as we left. Perfect timing. |

IG photos. We were on snapchat through the day as well posting our shenanigans. Make sure to follow me – @frenchrum. |
Are you planning a trip to Waco to visit the Silos anytime soon? Have you already been? What do you think of the entire experience? I recommend it. I wish I would have bought way more!
