I received my 5th Stitch Fix box last Thursday and realized I hadn’t done a proper review since my Maternity Fix. Summer seemed like a fitting season to request a Fix and try on some goodies. Here are the five items my stylist chose for me:
I was feeling a bit brave so I decided to take some #mirrorselfies and try everything on. I’m still dealing with baby weight but I’ve got about two more months until time runs out on that excuse, lol! Seriously, there’s nothing like looking at pictures of yourself to get you focused on health and fitness goals. Except maybe trying on clothes. That’ll get you focused with a quickness. So while putting my body issues aside and keeping it real, let me tell you what I kept, what I returned and why.
I can’t even tell you how surprised I was by this bodysuit. I was so on the fence about this trend and then Basically Joy told me she was really feeling bodysuits. So I understood that they have smoothing principles but I really didn’t think a white bodysuit would work. Well, I love it! I think this might be my birthday outfit. I obviously kept it. And yes, Joy, I know you’re reading and you definitely need a bodysuit! And you were right. There, I said it. Also wearing these Old Navy jeans, this Mark and Graham clutch and these Kelly and Katie shoes.
I wanted to love this dress but I didn’t even bother styling it b/c of the boob fit issues. It pulled way too much and it wouldn’t have worked unbuttoned and with a cami either. I’m not usually into florals for myself but they are trending and I’ll rock some trends just because if I like them. This print was ok by me. I liked the “wrap” style as well. I may look for a similar style as I need some more dresses in my life. This one was returned.
I asked my stylist if she could try to find some white distressed boyfriend jeans. She let me know that these capris were the closest thing she could come up with. The pull on waistline did not work at all with my midsection (not the jean’s fault) and I wasn’t in love with the cuffs. But I did love the stretch and if my belly wasn’t ginormous, I would like this brand in a regular length jean. These capris went back. Wearing with an old top from Charming Charlie (I think). Similar here.
I didn’t even try on the pink Swiss dot blouse as the color was not me at all. I loved the striped shirt but the arms fit quite snuggly (again, not it’s fault – I need to start working out for real!). So these went back as well.

It was very summery and if not for the fit issues with my ginormous boobs, belly and arms, I would have kept at least four of the five items. I honestly love playing dress up, even if some things don’t fit me great. So while trying on the items does take time, receiving the box (free shipping) and returning the items (free returns) is so convenient. I hardly ever shop at brick-and-mortar clothing stores so I love getting these Fixes. If you’re anything like me in that respect, you should definitely try it out at least once. I told you that bodysuits were amazing! We may just be twinning for your bday then 🙂 The big boob struggles are so real! I loved the maxi dress on you otherwise though. I can't wait to try on my Nordstrom goodies (yeah, I know, I haven't had time to do it yet!)
