My sweet son Dax turned five last month. It’s such a milestone birthday and I can’t believe how much he’s grown in five years. We had a small family party for him and he wanted a Batman theme so I did my best. Here are a few pictures of the set up.
I didn’t do too much in the way of decor. Picked up a few balloons, serverware, printed a banner and printed a fun “Pin the signal in the Sky” game and that was about it for decor. The hubs picked up nugget and fruit trays from Chick-fil-A, so food was easy peasy! I made the cake myself and was so glad Dax loved it. I doctored up a box mix and decorated it using this helpful “tutorial” except instead of fondant, I used Wilton sugar sheets. They are awesome (in my Fergie meets Jesus angel voice)!! I used the primary color pack and black, of course. I used MandMs for the border (just picked out the brown, blue, red and yellow ones from the bag). The tutorial even has free printables that came in handy. My cake was not as tall as the one featured in the tutorial but it still worked out.
We had a photo booth which was a really great activity for the kids (and adults)! I had a couple of games as well but the photo booth was the big hit. There were about 8 kiddos in all, not including babies (perfect amount if you ask me)!
Thanks to Timeless Legacy Photobooths for the awesome pictures!
This was one of the most low key parties I’ve thrown. Luckily, my friends and family are very easy going so it was a great time. Most importantly, Dax had a blast and that’s what it was all about! Have you thrown any super casz parties lately? I’d love to hear about it!
