Focusing on the positive is sometimes easier said than put into action.
I’m a pretty positive person but I love to vent. When I get things off my chest, I feel better. Once I vent, I can pretty much let things go. Unless it’s something negative that keeps happening over and over, and then, it’s up to me to change my situation. I’m not a fan of dwelling in a negative space. But I am always cognizant of the good in my life and and I try to focus on that every single day. Choosing to have a grateful heart can be the difference in receiving blessings or drowning in sorry. I choose to receive joy. In no particular order, here are 10 things that make me happy.

I’m smiling right now as I write this. Just thinking about these special little things in my life brings me joy!
Do you ever have a hard time being grateful?
I suggest that when you are feeling down, you make a quick list of 10 things that make you happy. Think about them. If an activity gives you joy, engage in it. Call your friends and family if it will make you smile. Look at pictures, or make plans to see them. If a certain food or beverage gives you joy, then #treatyoself!
Take it a step further and start a gratitude journal. Every day, jot down 10 things you are grateful for. Your mindset will change and your spirit will be lifted.
Happy Friday and thanks for checking us out! Be well.
Love, love, love this! Why not figure out what really makes us happy and do more of that?!? Sounds so simple but we sometimes take the tougher road.
Yes! It can be so easy to get caught up in the not so good stuff and dwell. That's why I like the idea of writing the good stuff down. Makes it concrete and easy to refer to in case negative thoughts cloud your mind. Thanks for your thoughts, Jen!
