It’s my favorite time of year – at least as far as clothing goes. Layers and cozy sweaters and booties, oh my!! It’s Fall y’all (yeah, yeah, not really in Texas but everywhere else it is, ha)! So it’s time for a roundup of the Fall trends I’m loving and think you will too.

I want to break this down into three categories. Let’s say: Emerging Trends, Full-fledged Trends, and Classics.
Emerging Trends
Emerging Trends are going to be the items that you probably won’t see mainstream America wear but you will see all over Instagram right now. They will be the items that you will see everywhere next Fall.
Although I wouldn’t call myself an Influencer especially not of the Instagram ilk (but you can find me on the LikeToKnow.it app), I would not want to wait until next year for a trend. Depending on what it is, it might be too late to enjoy. For me, these include:
- Snakeskin – especially shoes
- Off the shoulder sweaters or as my younger friend told me OTS
- Plaid suiting
- Sneakers outside of the gym (not just worn with athletic clothes)
Full-fledged Trends
If I really like something, I don’t mind wearing it even if it’s something that a lot of other people have, however, it’s not my favorite thing to have the same item as Every. One. Else. Here are some exceptions (because these trends are already everywhere):
- Cozy outerwear
- Dark florals
- Leopard print
- Graphic Tees
Classics
Obviously classics never really go out of style. They are reinterpreted and modernized and called trendy every few years. Some classic trends I like this season are:
- Capes
- Lace especially camisoles under sweaters and cardigans
- Booties
- Leather and faux leather
I’ve embraced some of these trends already, just have a look at my Instagram. But I am very hopeful the weather will turn cooler soon so I can get my OTS sweater on!
What trends are you feeling this Fall? Any I didn’t mention?
