My All-Time Favorite Perfumes

My All-Time Favorite Perfumes are classic and tend to be more earthy, but a few are lighter, more floral notes. See, I’m picky about perfumes. I usually find a signature scent and wear it for a few months until switching scents. These have included, Gucci Rush (from back in my club hopping days and I wore it to death!), Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, and V Valentino. But I’m a loyal gal (we’re talking about the same besties for 30+ years guys, and the same husband for 12+).

I have amassed quite the collection of perfumes, some of which are very old and still smell as originally intended. I have allergies, so for me, the Eau de Toilettes (more watered down and less expensive) actually work better than Parfums (more concentrated oils and pricier). However, I find that if you buy a quality fragrance, the Eau de Toilettes should last without smelling like alcohol.

Narciso Rodriguez for Her

Case in point – and you may be pick your mouth up off the ground after reading this – this bottle of Narciso Rodriguez is over 10 years old. It is my all-time favorite perfume EVER and this is my second bottle of it. It’s the first fragrance I ever bought more than once.

I honestly don’t wear perfume much under normal circumstances, and even less during these more social isolating days of COVID, so my collection still has plenty of spray in it, if you pick up what I’m putting down. Anyway, I wore it the other day and fell in love all over again and was so pleased that the fragrance has held up after all this time.

All-Time Favorite Perfumes

Right now, I am also loving “Not a Perfume”. I was introduced to the brand by my friend and podcast partner, Heather, when she last visited from San Francisco. We went to see the Balenciaga exhibit at the Kimball Art Museum in Fort Worth and she smelled amazing. She was wearing “Not a Perfume” and I knew I had to have it. Girl smelled good! Thank God it works with my PH (that can be tricky, am I right?) and my husband loves the way it smells on me.

This Juliette Has A Gun fragrance sampler makes a great Christmas gift as well. I added the full bottle to my Christmas list but it is pricey! We’ll see if “Santa” puts it under the tree this year.
