Simple Lumberjack Birthday Brunch

My youngest son will be 2 years old in a matter of days.  As his birthday falls on a weekday, we thought it would be fun (and budget-friendly) to celebrate him with a Simple Lumberjack Birthday Brunch at home for our little family of four.

The Lumberjack theme was a no brainer because our Christmas decor is mostly black and white with some red for good measure.  You can’t get much more red, black, and white than a traditional Lumberjack Brunch!

I made a simple breakfast casserole (eggs, sausage, ham, and potatoes) and some pancakes, otherwise known as flapjacks, in Lumberjack speak.  We put some juice on the table and enjoyed our little brunch.  It was early in the afternoon, hence, brunch!  And I do realize I should’ve ironed the tablecloth.  Oh well…

Red velvet mini Bundt cakes rounded out the yummy bites and were just plain festive and the color was fitting.

By default, December babies get Christmas decor integrated into their parties, right?

I set out some photo props after we ate.  We had fun playing around a bit.

Big brother came through with his important duties!

And Lumberjack Dad even got in on the fun.

The man of the hour wouldn’t be still long enough for me to put a prop on him but I did catch this sweet smile!!  His favorite part of the “party” was eating the little cake and listening to us sing Happy Birthday. All the decor I purchased was from Amazon and was under $30! All linked below:

I think our Simple Lumberjack Birthday Brunch party turned out great and it was nice to have an intimate celebration for our Little Lumberjack.  Oh, one last thing.  I have a gift for you.  A free 5″x7″ Notorious B.I.G. Lumberjack Quote print.
